The Knit Togethers started about 15 years ago when a parishioner was asked to teach another to knit so she could make a shawl like the one being worn. It is now a group of about 15 people that meets every Monday from 1 to about 3pm in the lower parish hall.  We invite people to come and bring any craft project they are working on or just come to join in the conversation.  We have knit prayer shawls, baby blankets to be given to anyone Baptized at St. John’s, hats, mittens, scarves, throws, pocketbooks, grocery totes and animal toys to be given to parishioners, friends, and family or sold at the Holiday Bazaar.  We have a stash of yarn, patterns, and needles to share with anyone that wants to give knitting or crocheting a try.
